DJ Artistic has invested millions in the Bank of Hip Hop.

When DJ Artistic is behind the decks, he lets the crowd dictate what he should play: vibing off of the energy, the mood and the groove, instead of what’s popular on the charts. He’s a party rockin’ DJ whose greatest satisfaction comes from seeing club goers lose their voices singing along to the songs he spins and inquisitive attendees coming up and asking him the title of a track he just played.

From what started as mere childhood dream, DJing has developed into a full time career for DJ Artistic due to his persistence, hard work, and dedication. Starting his career in 1995, Artistic threw Apollo-style events called “The Breakthrough.” He brought up-and-coming DJ’s and MC’s to the stage to showcase their skills in front of large crowds. These events eventually created a buzz about Artistic’s skills and established a strong reputation for him in the music business as a man who cares about the music community and goes above and beyond what is required in order to help others succeed.

From there he grew into a successful local DJ and has gone on tour with legends like Public Enemy and has shared the stage with the great Richard Humpty Vision. DJ Artistic has come a long way from playing small venues across the city to now performing in front of packed arenas and touring across the country. He has played from the hard Rock Hotel in downtown San Diego to the home of the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.

With this kind of dedication to his craft and desire to better himself as a man and as an artist, it’s clear why he’s earned nods from San Diego City Beat for Best Club DJ five years running. Along with DJing, Artistic also produces various events including the Generations Party at Onyx Room in Downtown San Diego and First Fridays at Bar Pink, just to name a few.

There is no stopping DJ Artistic’s altruistic mission to share the passion, love, and enthusiasm he has within him to every person getting down in front of him. He is a true “No Sucker DJ” that brings his A-game to each and every one of his gigs.

• Shared the stage with Snoop Dogg, Kid Capri, Richard Humpty Vision, and DJ Melo D
• Resident Comic-Con DJ for the Wired Cafe at the Omni Hotel
• Performed at parties for Ice Cube and Berry Gordy, the Founder of Motown Records
• DJed at various private events at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego and Club Scope including a private party for HBO’s hit show Game Of Thrones
• Has won three San Diego Music Awards for Best Hip Hop Group (2005, 2006 & 2008)
• Nominated for Best Club DJ San Diego Music Awards six years running
• A producer for Deep Rooted which won a San Diego music award for Best Hip Hop album in 2008
