Booking Agency Internship
Are you interested in understanding why venues choose a specific talent or act to play at their particular venue? The Booking Assistant internship with Sleeping Giant Music will give you a first hand look at what goes on behind the scenes to get talent booked at various venues across the globe. Interns will be assisting the booking agents with venue research, client relations, talent relations, talent scheduling, accounting, itineraries and artist management. Applicants must be strong in verbal and written communication skills, organization, multitasking, and knowledge of various music genres. Most importantly, applicants must love music! Students will be able to receive college credit upon completion of this internship.
Marketing Internship
The marketing internship with Sleeping Giant Music gives students the opportunity to get an insider’s look at the ins and outs of the ever changing music business. Interns will assist in all aspects of online marketing including, but not limited to analysis of potential online opportunities, writing and executing marketing plans and reports, article submission, research and development, social media, viral marketing, and email marketing. Applicants must be majoring in Business with an emphasis in Marketing or Management. Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, and have knowledge of current marketing trends. Most importantly, applicants must love music! Students will be able to receive college credit upon completion of this internship.
Public Relations Internship
The public relations internship with Sleeping Giant Music is a great opportunity for students to better understand the trends in the public relations field with regards to the music industry. Interns will actively seek out and maintain relationships with blogs, music sites, and other new media sites, conduct market research, attend shows and help coordinate interviews, photo shoots or performance sessions, and assist with the writing of public relations materials, including press releases, biographies, and pitches. Applicants must be majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations, Journalism, or Media. Applicants must exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, enjoy networking and meeting new people, and have knowledge of various music genres. Most importantly, applicants must love music! Students will be able to receive college credit upon completion of this internship.
