We all know the saying, “new year, new me.” As we are in full swing into the new year, it might be best to start coming up with a game plan to make 2018 the best year yet! Whether you are an agent or an artist, consider these things to help get your year off on the right foot.
Goals
I’m a huge believer in writing down a list of goals and achievements you want to hit as an individual. Whether you are an agent, a DJ or whatever you do professionally, it all applies the same. Your list of goals will keep you on track throughout the year and keep your eyes on the prize! Strategize and figure out what steps you need to take to get there.
Schedule & Calendar
Having an organized schedule is essential to my workflow and daily life. You can never be too prepared when it comes to planning! DJs and Producers, you can use your calendar to keep up with all your upcoming gigs and block weeks off in the studio to keep the creativity flowing. I’m sure you can pencil in some writers block weeks as they tend to happen to the best of them. Keep your calendars updated to avoid scheduling conflicts. Check everyday and the weeks ahead to insure that you know where you have to be and when you have to be there.
Socialize & Network
Its not what you know, its who you know! We work in a very socially driven industry and I would take full advantage of all the great events that happen through out the year. Here are some great networking events to target in 2018:
