Elon Musk took to Twitter last week and tweeted, “Sandstorm is a masterpiece.” We believe that Musk was referring to Darude’s hit Sandstorm which has humble beginnings and a lasting legacy. The popular techno song has become an anthem for gamers and is a 1999 classic with over 200M streams on YouTube. As it turns out, Elon Musk created a frantic reaction in shares of Sandstorm Gold after his tweet, which is a gold royalty company.
